Tshitereke- Venda-South Africa outreach in 17 - 30 June 2012

We departed Friday (22 June) after the team departed on the Monday (18 June) because Louis' medicine has changed and wanted to see how it works. The Lord has blessed us wonderfully and it is going well with him. Leoni and CJ (our grandson) have also been at the outreach and he enjoyed the space and everyone’s attention and to drive around with his grandfather.
The place where we reached out was Tshitereke. It is a suburb of Thohoyandou in Venda.
On Sunday, Louis held the service at church like never before. The Lord controlled it wonderfully and blessed the service.
To God be all the glory.
Monday (25 June), the youth arrived safely. The program remained full for Tuesday and after the devotion and communion, we had 2 lessons of Children Ministry presented, and the evening they had to apply it.  Wednesday the group went to Donnald Frazer Hospital where they helped to sort files and were also on a tour through the hospital. The youth mostly mentioned the mortuary, but Leoni said it was so sad for her to saw the boys who waited to be circumcised. They look so scared and helpless. Louis explained to her that it is better to be in the hospital when it’s done rather than with a witchdoctor.
The evening's event was blessed. Where we had a woman brought chairs for all guests. A man of the ZCC church run past the outreach area - it was so funny. He walked up to us start running past us and walked normally. Seems he has a fear of the Lord.
Thursday the team visited a "Drop In" center and while we wait for the children to come we practiced the youth games and involved the other people standing around. It was very enjoyable. A few injuries, but nothing serious. The team teaches them good Bible lessons and spent the afternoon playing good football.
We had the more intense Youth learned how to Evangelize with the five colors of the wordless book so that the child will understand the Gospel and accept Jesus as their Savior. They also learned how to use memory verses for a child to remember them by using creative modes.
We went to school where we had arranged for the learners to talk to and get everyone together before the assembly block. Christoff got the opportunity to speak to the learners, and it was a very good talk. Learners clearly understood what he said because they had a good response. He gave every young person of the youth also an opportunity for a short testimony for the time unfortunately ran out.
For the youth returned home Friday, the team only once a school visit and a message to the children brought. Saturday we returned home.

Armand says: It was so nice to see how the Holy Spirit worked with the youth and changed their own lives as they bring a change in other people's lives. Every evening the youth had to give their testimony or message. Every night they improved and spoke stronger. Many of the town's young people were encouraged by these young people because they see these people came from far away just to be with them and show their love of Jesus to them. I have once again learned that you really cannot judge someone just by looking at them. People changed within a week and their stories were told to me and I just think about how the Holy Spirit works. The youth have in so short time learned how to serve children completely on their own. The pastor of the church was so grateful that we were there and want us back. We will go again because there are many areas that we could not touch.
The Lord blessed us with wonderful fruit. The congregation just kept carrying: Advokados, oranges, tangerines, papaya, bananas, sweet potatoes. The Lord is so good to us and we give Him all the glory.
Pastor Colbert and his wife Gladyce gave their church to us to live in and also invited us in the future to come and stay there again if we want to work.

Testimonies

  • A daughter testified that she did not want to sin because you have to pay for your sins in hell.
  • A husband and wife testified on several occasions that they had severe headaches and after they prayed, he is completely healed and a son testified that he was healed of stomach ache.
  • A wife and five daughters testify of salvation and another woman said that she accepted Jesus after she saw everything that He went through for her.
  • An old lady was so grateful that she could attend the service and asked that a church in her area must be opened and the team must reach out more.
  • A woman said she did not come to the meeting, but her children with her insisted. She was a churchgoer but now she accepted Jesus.
  • Another woman said people should not be surprised to have her seen. She gave her life to Jesus and will now go to church.
  • An old woman said that she wanted to go to church and would not. After she saw the film, her life changed and she now wants a church and a Bible to learn more of the Lord.
  • A girl told the Lord changed her life after she accepted Him and because He had convinced her of her sins to her all that she sinned against to ask forgiveness.
  • A woman thanks God that he protected her by His knowledge of the film could suffer, she realized that if she does not give her life to Jesus she will be going to hell. She accepted Jesus.
A heart in tune with God can’t help but sing His praise

OUTREACH REPORT OF JUNE 2012 - TEAM ONE

14 DAYS ATTENDANCE    : 6500.
CONVERTS    : 1200

This report is very much different from normal report because of the place and seasons. People in June do not attend outdoors meetings as it is cold.
But to my surprise people attended as if it was summer. Another thing is in places with electricity. People do not come in a big number because they sit at their TVs.

To this outreach people did came in a number and accept the message preached to them. We also noticed the way God saved people and healed people in a big number.
Church people did support at this outreach and invited us to turn in the near future. It is my first time to see church leaders and members to attend Jesus film.
Keep on praying for us, we are looking forward to continue to preach Christ Jesus the Lord.
By Robert.
Look at these wounds. This showed us how people suffer and this is the things we usually came across. (Foto)
Look at how thin is this man. It is death and life to him. We need to pray for him.
The man lying here is the same man seated on the wheelchair. Before he was prayed for he could not seat on his wheelchair. After 5 days being prayed for, he could manage to raise up and seat on his wheelchair. Nobody believed he could rise up and  5 seat. Today he drives his wheelchair around. We praise God for what he did in his life.
As Christ’s love grows in us, His love flows from us.

OUTREACH REPORT OF JUNE 2012 - TEAM TWO

Mostly our host to every area is children, we don’t even mind to see children coming. We minister to them and on the long run elder people also join.
10 DAYS ATTENDANCE    : 2600
CONVERTS    : 700
This crusade was very disturbed by winter rain along the sea coast. The outreach did not finish by date programmed because of rain and cold. Mozambique is not a cold area, but this time it was very cold. The attendance was much better because in the area there is no electricity, so many people was coming to see what is happening by seeing lights and the Jesus film. To them it was entertainment.
We thank God they leave the message we have for them in the hands of the Holy Spirit to continue to speak to them.
Pray much for this area, they seem to be not taking the word of God easy.
This is part of the crowd attended the Jesus film project. The school principal allowed the team to use school benches. The classes could not accommodate the crowed; otherwise we would have been given the class room. As I mentioned above this people live in a remote area, people use generator for family lights and solar panel. Glory is to God, the government authority opened doors for us so that we can keep on visiting. Keep on praying for us.
God bless
Robert on behalf of Cersar Zukule

God is the Master of turning burdens into blessings.
When praying. It’s better to have a heart without words than words without heart.

Prayer Requests

  • Thank God with us for blessed outreaches for the year so far.
  • Thank the Lord for helping Louis so wonderfully with every sermon at the outreach.
  • Pray for the youth that we reached out with that the Lord will finish the work he started in them.

Feedback on the planned outreach to Doa - Mozambique.

Greetings in Jesus name.

The outreach to Mozambique should have occurred on July 11, but due to a lack of finances, we were pressured to postpone the outreach until a later date.

Many thanks to those who contributed, we honor the Lord for the finances, it will be applied to an outreach to Mozambique on a later date. We still trust God for the necessary funds. I sent Robert (our representative from Mozambique) by bus to Doa to bring the matter to the people to go explain that they don’t see us we abandoned them, but we have to go as the Lord wants. We will hold some of the funds until we have sufficient funds to get there. At this stage we have only a third of what we need. We plan to go the first three weeks of September because the rainy season has not yet started. The planned outreach will then be done. With the closing of this letter, I again invite you to be part of the outreach. If you cannot go, send us in your place. May God bless you.
Louis Moore

PS: Friends, just a last word, oh I hope you see it in the right light.
We as a team is prepared for three weeks on the ground to sleep through mosquitoes, fleas and lice bite, and then we talk not only about the perils of scorpions and snakes. We do not even know what food we have to eat etc.. We go on outreach not for our own benefit, but only for the kingdom of God.

Finally, what were the last words of Jesus before He ascended to heaven?
“Go therefore and make as much money as possible and enjoy your life and build your barns bigger and stock in as many as possible. Just do not invest in God’s kingdom.”
You and I know that only what we do for the Lord here on earth, will stand through the fire of God. (1 Cor. 3:13 to 15) "Do not lay up your treasures on earth where thieves break etc. .... but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven ..... "(Matthew 6: 19 ...) The words of Jesus say, and you know it: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations ..." Everybody cannot go, but make sure someone is in your place.
You and I will someday stand before God and there are not any excuses. What will God say about us?

The Lord blesses you and thank you for understanding how the heart of a missionary beat.

Greetings in Jesus Name

Outreach to Vuwani, Tshifhefhe, April 15 to 28

We are so thankful that no problems arose when we went to the village when driving. The previous time had been enough. We arrived at the church that were arranged and unpack everything to setup the kitchen and bedrooms.
The pastor's wife began to talk with us and later told us that she has been for two years in the Living Word Bible Institute, which Living Word Ministries in Venda have established a few years ago. The people received us sincerely.

A week before the outreach when we should have gone, it was canceled. A major accident where by five people from the church had died and the church have buried them. The morning we went to the outreach the pastor phoned Richard again (our organizer) and asked another cancellation, but Richard replayed that we cannot delay anymore. We wondered why they wanted to delay, but the answer the following week when they saw what we did and after the sermon in church. The pastor told them that a massive Easter conference where held and a host preacher who had urged them to pay for his hotel and for all his expenses were paid and every time he preached. The pastor of the church thought we work in the same way and wanted to postpone until they had more finances to pay us. We never take money from anyone we reach out to. After he saw how we worked, he is stunned. You could really see his gratitude in the way he dealt with us.
Bushman and I drove one morning the white bakkie to Thohoyandou to repair the handbrake (R1355), because it did not work. We get the truck slowly 100% ready for July's outreach to Doa, Mozambique.

We tried to arrange with the schools to teach AIDS education, but unfortunately the headmaster made excuses and refused us. The AIDS program is a way we give the Gospel mixed with AIDS education. Our main goal is to get kids saved and to let them understand that it is only Jesus that can prevent premarital sex and also to help escape HIV.
Our representative of Mozambique, Robert, visited early to make arrangements for the outreach in July to Doa. We want to go for three weeks in the villages of DOA , teaching and learning them deadly diseases that occur in their area, including to strengthen the pastors and establish new leaders to be leaders of their villages and also do normal outreaches to get people in the Kingdom of God.
Edwin, the pastor who along with Louis began the ministry, came from Thoyandou where his home and church are, came to preach two nights with my team. The second night he brought almost his entire youth and all his children with him.
The first Friday and Saturday we had very few people attending at our team. But we still gave a powerful preaching and serving the people. The other team had more people, but the nights vary with numbers.
Sunday's service was very blessed when Louis preached in the church where we stayed. The people were sp thankful that we preached the true crucifixion and explained it in depth, because they say they are tired of people who preach that God wants everybody rich.

The second Tuesday, it drizzled all day. It's good to see that many people in the villages are trying to make money by starting their own little businesses. We went to a fairly large butcher where only one type of meat (beef chops) are sold and only one refrigerator and decided to support them for something to eat after we had fasted. The meat was soft and tasty, although a very drunk woman has disturbed us. We could not reach out then because of the rain, but the next night we reached out though it rained that day and God stopped the rain just before we left.
The pastor of the church and a friend of his spoke with me on a project they are doing. The project is about to giving prisoners a better future after they come out of prison. They served in the correctional services and get people saved and when the prisoners get out of jail then the pastor provide them with power tools or other equipment so they can start a business to provide for their families, because there are many who come out and there are nothing and nobody to help them to get work, then they just go back to jail.
The outreach was generally very successful with no problems. All that can be listed as problems were that Louis's team was chased away two times one night because they stood by unbelieving people's houses to preach, the rain and my team sometimes had very few people in the evenings to serve. It was a normal outreach where nothing serious stood out except God's goodness and mercy to protect us and guide us into all the arrangements and works.
Report By Armand Petzer

Witnesses
·         There was a woman who testified that she could not sleep in the evening, but after team 2 held the service at her house, she now knows that she was saved after she took Jesus as Saviour, she can now sleep deeply and get rest.
·         There was an old woman who had a rough life when she was younger. She testified that she had three accidents and one where she was pronounced dead by her doctor, but God made her alive again for a reason. She was attacked by people with knives and God saved her, she did not say how. The police arrested her a while ago because she was selling illegal liquor from her home. The night in the cells she received a dream of three women who were with her and that Jesus came to her with two angels, she did not explain further. But the following Monday the police took her into a vehicle to the court. One police man told her that God has a plan with her and that she must get right with Him. In court she saw the three women of which she dreamed about, they have committed other crimes but they were also accused of selling illegal liquor. She was released that day, but as she fills in the papers another police man said to her that she must get right with God because God has made a goal in her life. It’s close to the church where she stays and gave her life for Jesus there one day. Her feet began to hurt and she was later no longer walk and could not go to church anymore. She was so incredibly happy that we are so close to her home because she said we helped her to get back strong in the faith because she could no longer go to church and her spiritual life has deteriorated. She also said her feet were healed after we prayed for her and that she now can walk to church. She is not ashamed of the Lord because he saved her life. She is thankful to God for the preacher who had come to heal her legs. The Lord touched her legs and now she wants to go to church again.
·         A boy of seven said he heard the word of God and seen the movie about hell and the Lord has touched his life and change.
·         A woman of about 37 told the Lord changed her life.
·         A woman has said that we also have weed in one's life. She gave an example of weeds that grow among the corn that you must remove, the same with life, get evil the out.
·         Another woman said she was glad she received the word of God. She encourages people to have high regard to us because we have come to bring the pure word of God. She said that many lives changed and were touched and encouraged people to continue to let their children go to church because we are the salt to give taste to the world.
·         A woman thanked the team who came to their area because she had a new encounter with the Lord and she pray for the team that they will be more on the way of the Lord.
When we love God we will serve people.
·         A man urged the people to give their lives to Jesus and be saved. He also encouraged the Christians to keep going to church to worship the Lord because many are spiritually dead without Jesus.
·         A woman thanks God for the message about sin that were brought by the team because she has a lot of sin, and learned that it was wrong. She accepted Jesus and wanted to do no more sins.
·         A woman said she loves the Lord with her whole heart and he is so good for her since she attended the meetings. She encourages others to accept Jesus. She asks God to bless the team so that others can hear the message she heard.
·         An old lady thanked God for complete healing of her pain in her arms. The preacher preached and said you must take a step in faith, and she did it and God did a miracle in her life.
·         Many testify and thank God for what He has done in their lives. One person sayd that he is so grateful for all the people at the meeting because they could have been in a bar.
·         A woman said that she did not know that hell is real, but the film placed her in great despair because she don’t know where she will go, heaven or hell. The Lord had convinced her of her sin and she accepted him as her Savior.
·         A woman said that she did not grow up in nice manner. She thanks God for showing her the right way through the events and sermons. She should have been dead, but it is only God's grace that she still lives. She believes she is still alive so she could accept Jesus. She encourages others to take Jesus.
·         A young girl thanks God that she could accept Jesus as her Savior.
·         Another woman thanked the Lord for the outreach in their village because it is a shock for those who perished. She encouraged everyone to accept Jesus because Hell is a horrible place.

The trip to Venda (Mashavhawe, Louistrichard, Feb 12-25).

The green bakkie was 2 weeks at a garage in Pretoria for repairs and we have paid R4 100 fir it. One would expect that we have no problems so that our trip will continue. Great was our disappointment when we went up hill at Pietersburg and there it begins to stutter again. We poured more fuel in, though the meter still shows half. Then the gears pester around. It struggled to go into 5th gear.
Thanks for all your prayers and everyone who helped and tried to help after you received our SMS!
Bakkie issues

The Lord is so good to us and we honor Him for His provision and love.
The night's sleep was difficult and the space was small but all of us could be getting a nap. Louise thought it was quite an adventure.

With Armand and our other workers it did not go much better either. The road was difficult due to the steep uphill and they had to detach the trailer and push it up, as the road was smooth, slippery and steep and their truck would not go up with it hooked on. They went to the pastor’s house to see where we can settle, but they asked for another place because the road to his house goes over river with a crooked bridge that will break after a few crossings with the trucks. What if we were across the bridge and it fell? Later on, Sunday when we walked to church, we saw that half of the bridge had collapsed.
There was no signal only on the hills where we lived and we struggle to communicate with each other. We had all the kitchen equipment and groceries and the other team just had meat and bread in the freezer. They went to a nearby shop, and bought only the necessary things to eat.
Monday morning the owner of a garage in Potgietersrus firstly checked if he could fix the truck where it stood. He saw that he had to put the truck on a ramp to take the gearbox out. The truck cannot just be towed because it can damage some parts. He towel Louis about 50km with the clutch pressed in. If he leaves, it can cause major damage. It was difficult because he had to concentrate on the clutch, the steep slope and the pickup truck. It took 7 hour to fix it. The truck was repaired so that we all could use all the gears except 5th because they couldn’t get any spares. We decided to go to reach out because there are souls who await His word and the other team, with no food. When we left we were very tired and only needed to get the trailer at the park near The Ranch. It was late when we reached Louis Trichardt but God has provided wonderful and there were not many cars on the road. The truck was not quite right because you could tell that power is lacking. The other team reached out that night. They thought that the rainy mist will stop them. But something else stopped them from reaching out. After they setup everything and just wanted to preach, the generator stopped, the sparkplug was dead and the trailer with the extra sparkplugs were, is with us. There were many people but, there were no electricity. When we came to the team, the truck was struggling to climb the uphill. For a V6 engine we could not believe it, they open the bonnet and saw that the people who worked on the gearbox did not plug two of the spark plug wires in correctly. It went better but not as it should after connecting it again. The bonnet was later reopened because it sounds like the fuel pump does not work right. We pray that the Lord will give wisdom to us so that we will soon find the fault. The Lord is faithful and we soon discovered that the petrol pump's wires were connected wrong. The vehicle's transmission was in Potgietersrus not completely repaired because they could not get parts so that we can use 5th gear. On the way to reach out one evening Louis forgot and put it in 5th gear and it got stuck again, solid, completely. Fortunately, as God wants, it was before closing time and Louis quickly called someone in Louis Trichardt who previously worked on the truck and he says he will wait, Louis can bring it. This time the team knows what to do and Nkangolenie must drive while Louis is towing him. The truck was fixed and the guy showed Louis some metal pieces that fell into the gears that caused the problem. He replaced 5th gear so that all is fixed. It’s good it didn’t happen on the road going back home, that wouldn’t have been nice.

In Mozambique, it is not much better. Louis had an opportunity to contact our representative, Robert, because he sent a text that we should contact him. He explained that the truck which he drove also had gearbox problems and they had to tow him out of Mozambique as the truck broke down. It rained terribly in Mozambique and all the roads have washed away due to the cyclones they have had. One must now travel to Zimbabwe to reach the area where we work. Wow, if we haven’t had enough problems. The Lord is wonderful and good for us and we honor him for everything that's good or bad.
When the truck came back from Louis Trichardt it didn’t want to go up the steep hill, but it was due to the petrol pump that was not working. The result was that the gasoline had to be poured out and the petrol had to be removed to see what the problem was. They thought they had found the problem and the tank was returned.

The next morning we wanted to leave for home but the truck does not want to start. With great effort and wires, it could be started after approx. 2 hours in the rain struggled. When we came back, about 30 meters from our house the truck died again, with that same petrol problem. We fill it with a container of petrol again and drove the last few meters. On Monday we took the truck again to see what the problem is. The total expenditure on the truck in the short time was over R8 000.00 God has placed a dream in our hearts to establish a mission centre, to start helping people with problems and now it seems the enemy tries everything in his power to stop us. God is almighty and although we are at this stage in the worst place ever regarding LWM finance, we know that we worship a wonderful God; He will never fail and never leave us. We give Him all the praise and glory of our hearts.

About the outreach, God provides wonderfully. People came to God and a 's tears were rolling as they prayed for her. She later testified about it and what the Lord did in her life. She went for the first time to church on Sunday and witness to all who knew her that they knew of the sinful life she suffered but she is here to worship the Lord. To God be the glory.

The enemy does not just steal our money, but also steals souls, in one area and the film Burning Hell was showing children started screaming terribly. The next time everyone runs into the inner circle where all our equipment is. The wires were run out and it is suddenly very dark. We plugged it in again but approx. 100 of the approx. 400 people were gone. All that remained were calmed and the proceedings continued. We suspect that someone might have moved the wires and that they probably thought it was a snake. The next day the people cleaned the grass neat and told us that the room there is a breeding ground for snakes. They saw a great snake that day there. When we finished the village, we move to the next village. The chief wanted the team to not make any more noise after 8 o’clock and the film was not shown, but they preached and the opportunity to make a commitment prayer was made.

At school they did not firstly want us to educate the learners is school time. But later we got a chance to meet the grade 12 and bring them our teaching. When they saw what the team could do, they said we must do the whole school. The primary school had heard and asked for the grade 7s to also hear the teaching. The principals were so grateful that they feel much more empowered. We praise God for the opportunity to share His word with these children.
